OPEN HOUSES !!!!

The homes of Doug Hawley, Jim Amiot and John Carroll will be open to visitors on Sunday, August 12th, from 12 noon to 5 pm, to view their bonsai trees and support infrastructure. Doug’s home is at 7776 Lawyer Pointe Drive; Jim’s is at 2814 Began Road in Batavia, and John’s is at 4930 Miami Road, in Indian Hill. Maps to John’s and Doug’s places are provided elsewhere in this publication; directions to Jim’s house are below. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit some of your fellow enthusiasts’ homes to see how they handle storage and management of their collections.

 

Directions to Jim Amiot’s House

Follow SR 50 through Milford, at Five Points just passed the elementary school, bear to the right. At the third stop light, past the Milford Shopping Center and at the bottom of the hill turn left onto SR 131. Follow it for 8 -10 miles and just before getting into the community of Newtonsville the road turns sharply to the left, take a right turn there onto Hutchingson Rd. There is a large water tower at the corner of Hutchingson and Bigham Roads that can be seen from SR 131 as you approach the turn. At the tower, take a left turn onto Bigham. Jim’s house is the second house on the left, 2814 Bigham Rd, 513-625-6297 if you have trouble.
