A great big "Thank You!" to all of you who helped make our Fall Show an overwhelming success, with your signing in, making tags for trees, hosting and hostessing, bringing in trees, snacks and giving demonstrations.

A special thanks to those of you who helped set up (and take down) the Show. I don’t have the financial figures, but we sold a record number of trees, pots, books, and tools.

Although not as many people came through in the two days as they did at Easter, we seemed to have more people with an interest in Bonsai, and we signed up a few new Members.

We also owe thanks to the many people who brought in or sent in trees: Jim Amiot, Doug Hawley, Tom McCormack, Sister Mary Depazzi, Andrea Schepmann and Aaron Perlman, and any and all others I might have missed.

I have already extended thanks to Ruth Ann Spears and her staff for setting up the tables and paying for most of the skirting and other efforts for our show.

Thank you all for help on this Fall Show—there are some I have missed, but I will buy you a cup of coffee. Some of you don’t know it, but you were understudies to be Show Chairman in 2001. An early Happy Holiday to all.
