Miscellaneous

From the Editor’s Desk

I’ve been informed that my email address is not shown correctly in our registry. If you’ve been trying to send me an electronic copy of something you’ve created, and found it kept getting bounced back, my email address is j.turney@colerussell.com. That dot after the "j" is critical, and it is apparently missing in our member publication. I apologize for any problems that may have caused.

I’d like to announce that Jerri Shepherd has graciously offered to assist in the assembly of our newsletter. My appreciation is sincere and significant. It may take a few months to get the ball really rolling, but I expect that many good things will come out of this. Jerri already emailed me a notice which was published in this newsletter. I believe that one benefit you will see, long-term, is that the newsletter will get done faster, with fewer errors than ever before. This also opens the door to other possibilities, such as sending the newsletter electronically to those who would prefer to receive it that way. I already receive the CABS newsletter from up the road in Dayton that way. If you have any ideas about how to make our newsletter serve you better, let us know!

Maybe now you won’t get as many editorials complaining about my inability to find the time to get anything done! But what will I write about? Hmmm….

With the Holiday season fast approaching, I would like to have any articles for the December newsletter sent either to myself or Jerri by Novermber 28th. I would prefer that those you who send in hard copies of your work to send them to Jerri. She will type and format them and send them to me. I would like articles for the January newsletter to be sent in by December 22nd, so we can all enjoy the holidays without locking ourselves away to write an article at the last minute.

I’m still looking for a nice, broom-style Serrissa. If anyone can point me in the right direction I’d be grateful.

-Jim Turney
